Water is an important resource that mankind must protect. The intensive industrial use is contaminating it with organic, chemical and substances. Those substances are treated with conventional treatments with insufficient results (which doesn’t meet actual regulations). But industrial waste water is then discharged in our sea, rivers, lakes and ground with high risk of contaminating our water resources for use or reuse. Same happens for industrial air pollution. On the other side municipal waste water is more and more polluted by well known and emerging contaminants. Water, wastewater and industrial gases need an AOP (Advance Oxidation Process) to remove organic or non-organic material. The ever-tightening regulation force industries to use increasingly more effective treatments.

WHAT’S AOP?

A complex process that combines different technologies to create Hydroxyl radicals for the oxidation and degradation of contaminants. Three well known treatments are used in all possible combination: Peroxide, Ozone and UV rays. The right configuration, with either 1 only, 2 or all treatments, is designed case by case to find the perfect synergy and the best results.

SITA-AOP unit is the natural evolution of SITA expertise in UV technology and water treatment in general. SITA engineers has been involved for many years in design and manufacture AOPs treatments. This experience, in combination with SITA worldwide partners and customers skilled in all kind of fluid/gas treatments, leads to the best solution in terms of EED (Electrical Energy Demand) and Chemicals Consumption.

HOW SITAOP EXPERTS WORK?

SITA experts collect the treatment target and values such as (but not only): TOC, BOD, COD, PH, alkalinity. Then, in partnership with SITA distributors, who has got expertise in AOP in the last 30 years, size and offer a the best solution.

Else a pilote scale unit can be used to treat in SITA lab a sample fluid volume.

SITA Lab pumps: 2,5 l/min; 1 m3/h, 80 m3/h and 200 m3/h (represented in the picture)
SITA Lab tanks: of 180 lts, 1 m3, 10 m3 and 30 m3 (represented in the picture)

Pilot scale system can also be delivered to test and simulate a full-scale unit on site. This approach helps to reduce cost for setting and risks when turning to full scale project.  

WHAT SITA SUPPLIES?

Both for pilot scale and for full scale units, SITA manufacture skid, UV and SS piping. The other parts are selected from the best suppliers (and SITA long term customers).
