The traditional method used is pasteurization, which, however, presents some issues including inefficacy against heat-resistant bacteria.
A great alternative to the traditional method is the use of UV-C lamp systems. Among its many advantages, it does not alter the composition and taste of the solution, is very compact and easy to maintain, and of course, it is chemical-free.
