In recent years, an increasing number of companies have been using UV radiation systems for the treatment of sugar solutions as an alternative to pasteurization.
Which units can you use for this application:
SUGAR SOLTIONS UV SYSTEMS (SSD)
"Sugar solutions play a crucial role in the production of non-alcoholic beverages such as fruit juices or carbonated drinks.
These solutions need to be treated as they often contain bacteria, spores, molds, or yeasts.
The traditional method used is pasteurization, which, however, presents some issues including inefficacy against heat-resistant bacteria.
A great alternative to the traditional method is the use of UV-C lamp systems. Among its many advantages, it does not alter the composition and taste of the solution, is very compact and easy to maintain, and of course, it is chemical-free.
This liquid has very specific characteristics such as very low transmittance (10-15% 1cm) and an internal sugar content of 65° Brix.
The SITA SSD series is designed and built to overcome these challenges.
